Raylar Performance Parts Engine Packages
We’ve developed our complete engine series to make it smooth, and seamless for 496 – 8.1 liter engine users to change out their stock engine to a Raylar engine without the difficulty or loss of time sometimes associated with engine rebuilding.
Raylar picked brand new 8.1 liter 496cid engine blocks, puts them through an exacting and precise methods of align honing, decking, boring and honing. These big block engines, were coupled with precision re-assembly with Raylar’s special forged pistons, rods, high performance oil pumps and timing sets. These blocks were then fitted with oil pans, timing covers, cams, and heavy-duty balancers. This line of engines worked best for 496 – 8.1 liter engines owners with damaged motors, or engines in need of overhaul.
Raylar no longer builds complete engines for the marine industry. Instead, we've created simple "Plug & Play" performance parts packages which contain all of the parts neccessary to create any of our engines from your stock 496.
Our stage 1 marine performance package bumps the 496 / 8.1L to 540 horsepower & 600 ft-lbs of torque.

GEN7R Intake Manifold
Stock intake manifolds can’t meet the air flow demands of your engine in performance applications. Our GEN7R intake manifold has been engineered for one purpose, maximum airflow and power output. Our GEN7R intake manifold incorporates shorter length, high velocity, tuned runners to produce stronger mid-range torque and higher RPM horse power with a large, unrestricted plenum to satisfy this engine’s demand for more air at higher RPM’s.

Raylar 496 BBC cylinder heads out flow every 8.1L cylinder head on the market.
